How can I change my WiFi password?

To change your WiFi password you will first need be connected to the internet and know what type of modem you have.

 

Zyxel 660

  1. Open up a web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or Firefox.
  2. In the address bar delete anything in the address bar and enter the local address of the modem into the address bar 192.168.35.1 and press enter
  3. When the login page appears, in the username box enter (without quotes) “user” and in the password box enter (without quotes) “tbaytel1”
  4. Click Login
  5. Click Continue to get to the main interface
  6. On the bottom of the screen hover your mouse over Network Settings and select Wireless from the list
  7. The password is towards the bottom of the Wireless page
  8. If you want to change the password enter the new password and click the Apply button
  9. The Encryption is best set to AES
  10. If you updated the wireless password while on WiFi, your device will now be disconnected from the wireless network because the password has changed. You will need to go into WiFi settings on your device and tell it to connect to your network and enter the new password

  3. When the login page appears in the username box enter (without quotes) “user” and in the password box enter (without quotes) “tbaytel1”
  4. Click Login
  5. Click Continue to get to the main interface
  6. On the bottom of the screen hover your mouse over Network Settings and select Wireless from the list
  7. The password is towards the bottom of the Wireless page
  8. If you want to change the password enter the new password and click the Apply button

  4. Click Login
  5. Click on Basis Setup icon at the top of the screen
  6. Click on Wireless on the left hand side of the screen
  7. Click on Security under Wireless
  8. To the right beside the line WPA/WAPI passphrase there is a password box with dots in it. Click the link Click here to display
  9. A pop-up window will appear displaying the current WiFi password
  10. If you want to change the password enter the new password and click the Apply/Save button
  11. If you updated the wireless password while on WiFi, your device will now be disconnected from the wireless network because the password has changed. You will need to go into WiFi settings on your device and tell it to connect to your network and enter the new password

 

Comtrend CT5374

  1. Open up a web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox.
  2. In the address bar delete anything in the address bar and enter the local address of the modem into the address bar 192.168.250.1 and press enter
  3. When the login page appears in the username box enter (without quotes) “user” and in the password box enter (without quotes) “tbaytel”
  4. On the left menu click on Wireless
  5. Under wireless click Security
  6. To the right beside the line WPA/WAPI passphrase there is a password box with dots in it. Click the link “Click here” to display
  7. A pop-up window will appear displaying the current WiFi password
  8. If you want to change the password enter the new password and click the Apply/Save button
  9. The WPA/WAPI Encryption is best set to AES
  10. If you updated the wireless password while on WiFi, your device will now be disconnected from the wireless network because the password has changed. You will need to go into WiFi settings on your device and tell it to connect to your network and enter the new password

 

Connect Hub

For this model of modem it is easiest to use the Tbaytel WiFi App to manage your WiFi settings. The app can be downloaded and installed from the Google Play store or the Apple app store.
If you choose to do this without the WiFi app follow these instructions.

  1. Open up a web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox.
  2. In the address bar delete anything in the address bar and enter the local address of the modem into the address bar 192.168.250.1 and press enter
  3. Enter the username and password found on the sticker on the side of the modem to login.
  4. Click on Wireless
  5. On the left you will have 2.4G Network and 5G Network, both need to be updated
  6. Click on Security
  7. Update the password in the “Use Customer Security Key” field and click apply
  8. If you updated the wireless password while on WiFi, your device will now be disconnected from the wireless network because the password has changed. You will need to go into WiFi settings on your device and tell it to connect to your network and enter the new password

 

Connect Hub+

For this model of modem it is easiest to use the Tbaytel WiFi App to manage your WiFi settings. The app can be downloaded and installed from the Google Play store or the Apple app store.

If you choose to do this without the WiFi app follow the instructions below:

  1. Open up a web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox.
  2. In the address bar delete anything in the address bar and enter the local address of the modem into the address bar 192.168.250.1 and press enter
  3. Enter the username and password found on the sticker on the side of the modem to login
  4. On the left menu icons hover over the WiFi symbol and select “Primary Network”
  5. Update the Password (Security Key) field with the new password and click Apply
  6. If you updated the wireless password while on WiFi, your device will now be disconnected from the wireless network because the password has changed. You will need to go into WiFi settings on your device and tell it to connect to your network and enter the new password
