How do I change the length of time it takes for the set-top box to power off due to inactivity?

Changing the Set top boxes power off timer

By default the Tbaytel set-top box will go to sleep after 4 hours of inactivity. Inactivity occurs when the tv is on without any input from the remote control. To adjust the Tbaytel set-top box timeout follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Home button
  2. Scroll to the left and click the Settings button
  3. Select Playback
  4. Select the Inactivity Timeout option
  5. Set the desired timeout

Note: Extending your inactivity timeout period will cause your remote battery to drain at a faster rate.

Technical Support Tip: Recordings will not be affected by this setting.
