What do do when stuck in an interactive TV app

The Stingray and Tbaytel Channels are interactive apps on Legacy TV, as opposed to a traditional TV channel. You will need to exit the app before you can use the channel up/down buttons.

Press the Exit to TV button. This will exit the app so that you can bring up the guide, type a channel number or use the channel up/down buttons to move through the TV channels.

Check the Remote

If you are still stuck in the interactive app after pressing the exit to TV button, the next thing to do would be to ensure the remote is set to the proper device. When you press the OK button on the remote the STB mode light should light up. If any other light becomes lit up, the signal is not being sent to the Set Top Box but to an alternate device. Press the STB button to return the remote to the correct mode.

If the STB light is the one lighting up - hold & let go of the Ok button. If it flashes more than once - change your batteries and try again.

 

Reboot the Set Top Box

If there is still no response from the legacy set top box try a reboot. Press and hold the power button on the front (or top right) of the STB for 10-15 seconds. The image on the TV should switch to a No Signal once you let go of the power button. It will take ~2 minutes to reboot.
