What is 5G NSA?

Understand 5G NSA (Non Standalone)

5G NSA, which stands for “Non Standalone”. This means it uses a combination of our existing 4G LTE network and new 5G NR (New Radio) network. This will give you the ultra-fast data speeds of 5G, while calling uses the robust and reliable existing 4G LTE network. Think of it as the best of both worlds!

As our 5G network continues to grow, it will evolve to 5G SA, which means “Standalone”. This technology will have a dedicated core, meaning a device connects solely to 5G for voice, text, data and whatever else the future may bring.
