Some devices may not be named, it isn’t unusual if you have some smart devices or IOT(Internet of Things) devices that are connected to your WiFi.

Running a Speed Test

The ConnectedHome+ modem is the only one that has the built in ability to test speeds. This will test speeds at the modem itself.

  1. Tap on My Network
  2. Tap on Bandwidth Test
    • Any results you see are from the last test
  3. Isolate to a single device
    • Turn off WiFi on tablets/cell phones
    • Power down hardwired devices
    • Hardwire testing device to the modem with Ethernet cable (wherever possible)
  4. Tap Run Test
  5. Once the speed test results are posted, check against your internet plan to determine if speeds are within range.

If you are unable to isolate you can show lower speeds against the draw connected devices are taking. Without isolation it is not uncommon to see between 15-25% bandwidth loss on a speed test.
