Most Tbaytel customers use their internet modem as a WiFi router. if you are using your own router, the same troubleshooting steps below apply.
The placement of your modem's router is extremely important to ensure you have good coverage throughout your home. The ideal location for a WiFi router to be placed is a central location in the centre of a home. The ability to install the modem in the most central location will depend heavily on existing wiring quality, age and home construction.
If having your modem centralized in your home does not improve service, or if it is impractical to be placed somewhere centralized, a mesh unit may also be an option. The mesh unit strengthens your signal and will hand off the connection automatically between the modem and mesh based on signal strength.
If you have a Connect Hub and Connect Hub +, a mesh unit will likely be your best option for inside your home. Mesh units are available for purchase at the Tbaytel Retail Store or online through shop.tbaytel.net.
