Marathon, Ontario (Apr. 5, 2022) – Tbaytel and the Town of Marathon are celebrating as the town is set to become the next northern Ontario community to have access to Tbaytel’s state-of-the-art fibre technology later this year.

Tbaytel is looking to do its part to help address the critical need for doctors in northern Ontario by announcing its support for the Northern Ontario School of Medicine’s Tbaytel Entrance Award Fund on Friday morning.

Tbaytel is excited to announce the launch of its Arena Live streaming service. Beginning Tuesday, October 5, this free service will live-stream the ice surface of five local arenas right to the Tbaytel Youtube channel so parents, friends, family and fans can take in all of the action, no matter where they are.

Tbaytel has successfully bid for wireless spectrum in the 3500 MHz frequency band within the company's serving territory in the latest spectrum auction run by Innovation, Science, and Economic Development (ISED) Canada, bolstering its launch of next generation 5G wireless services throughout northern Ontario.

Tbaytel has wrapped up its largest Tbaytel for Good Community Fund campaign ever with three $10,000 winners being announced Friday. More than 213,543 votes from May 31 to June 11 were cast for the three winners, who will now put a total of $30,000 to great use throughout northern Ontario.
