Cell Phone Recycling

As of August 14th 2009, all unused TBayTel cellular phones can be recycled at the following locations:

TBayTel Store
959 Fort William Rd.

TB Comm
1080 Lithium Dr.

The Power Centre
707 Memorial Ave.

For each cellular phone collected, PITCH-IN CANADA’S National Cell Phone Collection Program will contribute to P.R.O. Kids Thunder Bay.

P.R.O. Kids helps when recreation registration fees are out of reach. Kids in the community benefit by developing physical and creative skills. In 2008, 1,200 children and teens participated in recreation programs through the assistance of P.R.O. Kids.

Recycling your unused cellphones helps P.R.O. Kids place more kids into community programs. So help kids and the environment by recycling your old cell phone. All unused cellphones are accepted, regardless of the age or working condition. Cell phones and their batteries contain toxic material. Collected phones will be refurbished and reused, or disposed in an environmentally responsible manner.
