Spam Protection blocks the delivery of e-mail to Tbaytel Internet customers from known unsolicited e-mail sources. Tbaytel's Spam Protection protects all Tbaytel Internet customers (including those with domain names other than tbaytel.net).
Advanced Spam Protection
Take greater control of your inbox and effectively filter a higher percentage of viruses and spam. Advanced Spam Protection allows users to define allow and deny lists plus, determine an adjustable spam control threshold.

Definitions
Viruses
A computer virus is a self-replicating computer program that spreads by inserting copies of itself into other executable code or documents. Viruses are often spread in e-mail messages as file attachments.
Once on your system, a virus will perform unauthorized tasks, such as deleting important files, displaying annoying messages or even damaging your computer. A specific type of virus known as a Trojan also may allow other Internet users to remotely access your computer to perform illegal activities.
Spam
Spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited, bulk messages containing irrelevant or inappropriate messages. Typical spam e-mail contains advertisements for online medical products, get-rich-quick schemes, and pornography websites.
