Maintenance of Tbaytel systems and networks is necessary to ensure Tbaytel delivers quality service to you, our valued customers. We apologize for the inconvenience as we continue to make significant improvements to our network to ensure we are meeting your expectations. We thank you for your patience and understanding, and continued support.

Troubleshooting Tip: If you are experiencing a loss of service outside of a maintenance window; power off the affected Tbaytel equipment, then power it back on after 30 seconds. For step-by-step instructions, visit the Support section and select the affected product.

Maintenance Alert - Mobility - TBRHSC - July 14-17

Please be advised, Tbaytel will be performing maintenance to its Mobility network with work starting on July 14 with an expected end-date of July 17.  During this maintenance some customers in and around the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre may experience degradation of their mobility services, possibly effecting calls, SMS, and data during the maintenance period. Customers experiencing no service outside the maintenance window are asked to power off their device for 30 seconds before powering it back on again.

Maintenance Alert - Mobility - Thunder Bay Central - July 17-27

Please be advised, Tbaytel will be performing maintenance to its Mobility network with work starting on July 17 with an expected end-date of July 27.  During this maintenance some customers in Central Thunder Bay by Central Ave, Memorial Ave, Fort William Rd, Carrick St and the Harbour Expressway may experience degradation of their mobility services, possibly effecting calls, SMS, and data during the maintenance period. Customers experiencing no service outside the maintenance window are asked to power off their device for 30 seconds before powering it back on again.


Maintenance Alert - Tbaytel Apps - July 19

Please be advised, Tbaytel will be performing maintenance to some of its applications with work taking place on July 19th between the hours of 8:00am to 12:00pm.  During this maintenance some customers may have limited access or be unable to access the following Tbaytel applications:

  • myTbaytel App
  • myTbaytel Web Portal
  • Tbaytel TV App (unless already logged in)
  • Tbaytel TV+ App (unless already logged in)
  • Ecommerce Purchases

Maintenance Alert - Mobility - McKellar - July 20-25

Please be advised, Tbaytel will be performing maintenance to its Mobility network, with work expected to run from July 20 to July 25. During this maintenance, some customers in the southern area of the McKellar ward may experience a degradation of their mobility service with no expected outage.

Maintenance Alert - Mobility - Thunder Bay North - July 20-31

Please be advised, Tbaytel will be performing maintenance to its Mobility network, with work expected to run from July 20 to July 31. During this maintenance, some customers near John St and Balmoral St may experience a degradation of their mobility service with no expected outage.


Scam Alert - Ongoing

We are aware of several scams that continue to target our customers by phone and email. Fraudulent emails are being sent, either requesting payment for a non-existent account or claiming you must “update” your email inbox to avoid termination. Some homeowners are also being targeted by phone and asked to download an app.

Please be advised:

  • Tbaytel will never call to ask you to download any apps before an installation or service appointment.
  • Tbaytel will never ask you for payments on non-existent accounts or require you to “update” your inbox.
  • To confirm your bill, use the official myTbaytel App, to verify your account number and total amount owed.

If you receive a suspicious email, do not click any links or provide personal details.
